This is so cute it's unreal I got this for my neighbor's granddaughters birthday as its so close to Easter. I really love the look of this and so did my daughter even though she's 12 she wanted this.
I love that this is a headband and headphones all in one I really love this design it's unique and different and easy on the kid's heads and ears.
The headphones itself is a speaker covered in feeling both sides so even if the child lays down it's not going to hurt their ears I believe these would be great for the age 3 and up.
The band Velcros around the back of the head so it can be adjusted easy when you first get these there will be a protective piece of fabric over the Velcro to protect it.
There is an inline control on the wire with 3 buttons up volume down volume play and pause I couldn't get the buttons to work on older style mp3 players but they did work on my cellphone and tablet. The cord is quite long so you are not going to be restricted too much and it's coated in nylon, not just a plastic cover so it's not so easy for the kids to break.
This does have a standard 3.5mm jack that is  gold colored which helps with the connectivity. If the earphones don't fit your kid's ears right you can adjust them to fit by pulling them back or pushing them in more which makes them great and versatile.
The best yet is if the headband gets dirty you can remove the headphones and throw it in the washer to clean it back up once dry push the earphones back in.
