This is a really great item  this doorbell allows you to hear  it in any room it features a volume button on one side and a ringer button on the other  which allows you to select one of  the 36 different tones. 
This comes with everything you need to get started even down to the special battery for the  remote door press button.the doorbell itself plugs into an outlet and indicates a red light in standby mode and a blue light when pressed this is quite loud and visually noticeable. 
The remote will stick to almost any surface with the help of the double sided sticker on the back this holds really well even during wet weather. I love that if i move from one room to the next i can simply unplug and move this to the room that i am in with ease. Growing up we used to have the old style door bells that was wired this is so much better and more versatile. 
I enjoy most of the tunes my family plays a guessing game of name that tune which is a great way to interact and get the brain working. We all have our favorite and around Christmas time we use the jingle bells  one and the lone ranger one. When my daughter gets home from school she makes sure she has to press the  button to sound the doorbell even though the door is never locked when she gets home. 
I think this door bell is perfect for those hard of hearing also as the light will  alert them to someone being at the door the design is also great it's small and no bigger than a plug in nightlight. This is discreet and doesn't look out of place and can be hidden out of sight also behind furniture so visitors don't notice it the battery can be replaced if it dies and can be found online easy for a low cost. 
The hardest thing with this doorbell is removing the back cover off the button to install or remove the battery i used a flat head screwdriver to press in the catch to allow me to remove the cover.
