I got this for my daughter to sharpen her pencils and  pencil crayons with as when its time to do homework there is never a sharp pencil in sight.

This works really well i love that she just put the pencil in and puts a little pressure on the pencil and it  starts to shave off the pencil right away.
This came with the 4 AA batteries needed which was good in my house we use batteries like they are going out of style. you remove the back cover to replace or insert the batteries.
I love that when the cap is removed the sharpener is not visible so  kids are not going to get cut on the blade i would watch young children around this as the opening is big enough for small fingers to go in. 
The shaving from this are not like most manual shaving this is more like sawdust which can be recycled back into the garden
