I have 2 of these in my kitchen above our counter 2 in my bathroom and 2 in the bedroom for only 50w these do give off quite a good lighting when coupled up just a single light for me didn't give enough light that I needed.
These work best is a smaller room rather than a larger room especially if you can only use one bulb. So far I haven't had anything weird or out of the ordinary happen after all they are just light bulbs. I will get some 75w in the future for my other rooms, these worked good in both side and downward sockets and great in a lamp they are slightly bigger than the old style lights so some lamps or shades will have some coverage issues.
