These are the coolest things ever well I think so. I won these  off the OMGAI facebook page in a contest. My whole family loves these I lost 6 of them already 3 for my daughter's drink and 3 for my husband's drink party in your cup.
These are only activated when placed in some liquid, these really do last quite a long time. My daughters have been in her cup on and off over the last week and still going they have dimmed a little and the flashing has slowed so I'm assuming they are almost done.
I wish you could change the battery in these rather than them becoming a decoration after. I thought these would be cool in a decoration bowl as a centerpiece on the dinner table for Christmas.
These are sealed to prevent water getting inside, the base you can see 2 small metal contact pins that activate the light when wet, they have a crushed ice look inside and a tapered in top these run of 3 small button batteries, but can't be replaced.



I only gave these a 4 star because once the battery is dead that's it
