This is something every home should have on hand these are not really long but work great for pulling the hair and other nasty items out of the drain. These don't work on all drains but they do on some.
I received these  for free to try out. I do like them but for most of my drains they are just too short to reach a clog but for grabbing hair  that could cause a clog they work wonders.

These are quite sharp if you catch it funny on your hand I have managed to scratch myself a few times on the teeth while using or cleaning it up.

These came in a pack of 6 so if you have multiple bathrooms like me you can keep some in each one. The handle is easy enough to push and pull with and takes quite a bit of force to break the teeth of these or even snap these I did get one caught up in my kitchen sink but wiggled and tugged till it came free
