I got these cause I loved the concept of leaving my light on and it auto turning on as I walked in a room or to the door. These do not work too well in sockets that point sideways only in the drop down ones.

These do not stay on long enough I don't think the time is too short and the sensor is not quite sensitive enough sometimes you have to walk almost right up on the light for it to detect you. i was going to use one in my bathroom but does not stay on too long.
I have one in my spare room as we keep the dog food in there and it's nice to be able to walk in and out and not have to think of the light. it stays on for around 1 min or less if no activity is detected.
it's about as bright as a 40w bulb which gives us enough light in the spare room for what we need to do. as an outdoor light, its ok not the best it is just too dim I find outside but I didn't notice many bugs wanting to fly at it. during the day it doesnt come on if there is enough light in the room but from dusk till dawn it will motion on.
