i purchased these hair chalks for my daughter to color her hair it was easier and better than other options i was so disappointing in this kit the colors are pale and more pastel than advertised and takes quite a few strokes to get them to show up these do have a waxy feel to them when applied to the hair and does leave a few lumps on the hair which then gets combed out onto the floor and  if not careful walked through the house 

the colors are great but i wish they was as bold as what was shown this feels like applying lipstick to your hair great idea for young children but sidewalk chalk works much better and the color is brighter as you see on my hand i applied the colors on blonde hair they  show up just about the same as they do on my hand these expand out about two and a half inches by turning the bottom half of the pen when trying to color the hair strand the chalk bends and pushes to the side of the pen  with out any real pressure you really have to apply this thick in order to get a good enough color to show up the color should have been more darker than lighter will not buy this again such a waste of money
